Grading standards & photo requirements

Every Trading Cards listing must use a standard grading scale and real photos of the actual card. These standards keep listings trustworthy and help buyers buy with confidence.

Required grading scale

PSA
1–10 (whole numbers)
Slabbed with a cert number buyers can verify on PSA's site.
BGS
1–10 (half-point increments)
Includes sub-grades (centering, corners, edges, surface).
CGC
1–10 (whole numbers)
Slabbed with a cert number buyers can verify on CGC's site.
TAG
1–10 (whole numbers)
Slabbed with a cert number buyers can verify on TAG's site.
SGC
1–10 (whole numbers)
Slabbed with a cert number buyers can verify on SGC's site.
Raw
Near Mint · Excellent · Good · Poor
For ungraded cards. Use the tier that best matches the card's condition.

Misrepresenting a grade is a policy violation and can lead to returns, disputes, and account consequences.

Photo requirements

Front and back of the actual card
Photos must show the actual card being sold — both front and back — not stock images or scans borrowed from another listing or source.
Good, even lighting
Shoot in natural or even lighting so surface flaws, whitening, and print lines are visible. Avoid heavy glare that hides defects.
Multiple angles
Include close-ups of corners, edges, and centering so buyers can judge the grade themselves.
Show the slab and cert label
For graded cards, photograph the slab so the cert number and grade on the label are legible.
Mandatory above $100
Cards priced at $100 or more require front and back photos, and the seller must confirm the photos are of the actual card before publishing.
