Community rules

Community rules

bigflipz is built on independent buyers and sellers trading in good faith. These are the conduct rules every member agrees to, and they apply to listings, messages, offers, reviews, community posts, forum threads, and clips. Breaking them can cost you your account.

1. Treat every member with respect

1.1No harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or stalking of another member.
1.2No hate speech, slurs, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
1.3No vulgar, sexually explicit, or violent language or imagery in listings, posts, messages, or clips.
1.4Keep disagreements professional. Dispute the order, not the person.
1.5Never post another member's private information — home address, phone number, email, workplace, or photos — without their consent.

2. List honestly and completely

2.1Describe the item accurately, including flaws, wear, missing parts, and repairs. Photos must show the actual item you are selling.
2.2Choose the right category and condition, and use tags only for categories the item genuinely belongs to.
2.3No counterfeit, replica, or knock-off goods sold as genuine, and no misleading brand names.
2.4No bait-and-switch pricing, hidden fees, or a listed price that is not the price you will honor.
2.5For trading cards, disclose grading service, grade, cert number, and any alterations or reprints. For shoes, state worn condition and box status. For high-value items, provide authenticity documentation when asked.
2.6Never list something you cannot deliver or do not own the right to sell.

3. Sell, bid, and pay in good faith

3.1Shill bidding, bid shielding, and bidding on your own or a partner's listings are prohibited.
3.2If you win an auction, pay for it. Unpaid wins are flagged, and repeat unpaid winning bids are banned from auctions.
3.3Honor the sale once a buyer has paid: ship on the handling time you advertised and upload tracking.
3.4Complete every payment through bigflipz checkout. Asking for or accepting off-platform payment — bank transfer, gift cards, cash apps — forfeits buyer protection and can end your account.
3.5No overpayment schemes, fake refund requests, or chargeback fraud.
3.6Cancel or decline a transaction only for a real reason. Repeated non-fulfillment is treated as a violation.

4. Communicate clearly and courteously

4.1Keep conversations on bigflipz. Off-platform contact requests remove our ability to help if the deal goes wrong.
4.2No spam, unsolicited bulk messages, chain messages, or repeated unwanted contact after a member asks you to stop.
4.3No soliciting members for unrelated businesses, external marketplaces, or investment offers.
4.4Respond to genuine buyer or seller questions within a reasonable time, and never use messaging to pressure or shame someone into a sale.

5. Safe local meetups

5.1Meet in a public, well-lit place — a police station, trading card or collectibles shop, or another designated safe spot on the map.
5.2Bring the item as described and complete the exchange on bigflipz so both sides keep their protections.
5.3Show up on time or tell the other member as early as you can if plans change.
5.4Report a no-show, unsafe behavior, or any threatening conduct through the meetup report option so we can review it.

6. Keep reviews and reputation honest

6.1Review only members you actually traded with, and rate the transaction you experienced.
6.2No fake, incentivized, or traded reviews, and no review rings with other accounts.
6.3No retaliation reviews for a review someone left you.
6.4Imported reputation from other marketplaces must point to a real public profile you control.

7. Community posts, forum, and clips

7.1Post in the right section and keep threads on topic.
7.2No doxxing, harassment, scams, or prohibited-item promotion in the feed, forum, or clips.
7.3No promoting a competing marketplace, or using the community to drive traffic off-site.
7.4Use the report option on a post, comment, or review rather than starting a pile-on.

8. Prohibited items and activity

8.1No counterfeit or replica goods, stolen property, or items you cannot legally sell.
8.2No weapons, ammunition, explosives, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, live animals, human remains, or recalled products.
8.3No digital accounts, stolen credentials, personal data, subscription logins, or recalled or unsafe goods.
8.4No attempts to bypass a restriction, evade a ban with a new account, or manipulate search, pricing, or votes.

9. Enforcement

We review reports and take the least severe action that protects the community. Depending on severity, your history, and the harm caused, we may:

1

Content removed

A listing, post, comment, clip, or review that breaks the rules is taken down and the member is told why.

2

Warning

A first or minor violation records an official warning on the account, visible to our moderation team.

3

Restricted account

Repeated or serious violations limit selling, bidding, posting, or messaging for a set period.

4

Suspension or ban

Fraud, counterfeit goods, threats, or continued abuse remove buying and selling access permanently.

Serious violations — fraud, counterfeit goods, threats of violence, or selling stolen property — can skip straight to a permanent ban. Payouts tied to fraudulent orders may be held or reversed, and the buyer is honored instead.

10. Reporting a violation

10.1Report a listing from the item page, or a post, comment, reply, or review from the report option beside it.
10.2Include what you saw and where. Do not confront the member yourself or try to resolve a scam on your own.
10.3For order problems, open a return or dispute request; for anything else, open a support ticket.
10.4Our moderation team reviews every report. Repeated false reports meant to harm another member are themselves a violation.

11. Appeals

If we removed your content or restricted your account and you believe it was a mistake, reply to the notice or open a support ticket with the listing or order reference. Appeals are reviewed by a moderator who was not part of the original decision.

Retaliating against a member who reported you, or continuing the same behavior during an appeal, ends the appeal and keeps the restriction in place.

These rules apply alongside our marketplace policies, item-specific policies, and the terms of service. Where a specific policy is stricter, the stricter rule applies.
